Denver Water 2009 rebates are worth looking at!
Purchase a qualifying high-efficiency clothes washer, high-efficiency toilet (HET), or a low-flow toilet and you may be eligible for a rebate from Denver Water. Denver Water offers a $150 rebate for qualifying high-efficiency clothes washers, a $125 rebate for qualifying high-efficiency toilets, and a $25 rebate for qualifying low-flow toilets.
Low-flow toilets use 1.6 gallons per flush or less, and are currently the minimum standard required by federal law. A high-efficiency toilet must flush at least 20 percent less water than low-flow toilets (1.28 gallons per flush). WaterSense is a certification that toilets earn fromĀ an independent laboratory stating that they have been tested for not only efficiency but also for performance.
Why replace your older inefficient toilet with a HET toilet? According to the EPA you can save, on average, $90 per year in reduced water utility bills, and $2,000 over the lifetime of a WaterSense labeled toilet. How much will it cost you to buy a HET?
